Branch Secretariat Functions

Carry out recruitment matters in Sabah as follows:

  • Manage applications and interview matters
  • Manage offers of employment
  • Provide information on the posting of application advertisements around the clock for relevant positions
  • Process and register the application of qualified candidates according to the service scheme

Carry out service matters in Sabah as follows:

  • Manage Appointment Confirmation
  • Manage Confirmation of Service
  • Manage Extension of Probationary Period
  • Manage the Grants of Pensionable Status
  • Manage Appointment by Temporary/ Secondment/ Permanent Transfer;
  • Managing Termination of Service
  • Manage Transfer of Appointment
  • Provide advisory service for the management of service cases to the department and school

Manage branch administrative affairs and logistical supports as follows:

  • Managing the service, personal management, performance management and disciplinary matters.
  • Plan, implement and monitor internal and external training programmes.
  • Managing the Department’s finance.
  • Managing aspects of the general administration of the office, asset management, security, maintenance, logistic needs and public relations.
  • Coordinate the implementation of HRMIS application modules/submodules.

Carry out information management activity as follows:

  • Ensure ICT security and control as well as compliance with the ICT Security Policy (SPICT) at the branch level
  • Plan and manage ICT networks and physical assets
  • Provide technical support services to the members and stakeholders who use the ESC’s application service
