2. When and how can I apply for the post/? Every application of job under SPP can be done at any anytime. Application can be submitted via the JobsMalaysia portal at www.jobsmalaysia.gov.my.
3. Why was my application rejected? Rejected application may be due to at least one of these following reason:
1. the required (mandatory) section in the application form is not completely filled.
2. does not  fulfil the requirement  for the appointment of the service schemes applied for.
4. I am a PPP Grade DG29, DG32, DG34, and DG38 officer under MOE with a bachelor degree, Can I apply for the appointment to PPP DG41 Grade post? Starting 1st 2014, SPP will only manage the first service appointment either as PPP grade DG29 or PPP Grade DG41. Officers serving as PPP Grade DG29, DG32, DG34, and DG38 are no longer under the provision of appointment to DG41. Officers may applied for the promotion to Grade DG42 which is managed by MOE.
5. I had resigned in the civil service but wanted to serve again. How do I submit an application? A person who has resigned may be reappointed into the public service. Application can be made as a normal candidate application.

1. When will I be called for interview? 1.

For PPP post, interview will be held right after the information of option-based post vacancies is received from MOE. The notification regarding the interview will be posted on SPP Portal. Candidates may check on their interview status online at SPP portal. Candidate is also advised to contact SPP if there are any changes of job location for personal information update purposes.

2. For PPPT and AKP post, interview will be held right after the information vacant post is received from MOE and MOHE. However, the interview for PPPT candidate will be made based on the vacancies according to job specialization and grade. Candidate will receive a formal interview call letter and kindly log on SPP portal to check on the interview status online .
2. Is it possible for me to change my interview location as I have been away from the interview center selected during the job application? 1.

PPP candidate is allowed to change their selected interview center provided that there is an interview for the same option implemented in the current state of the candidate. However candidate should inform SPP in written form after  receiving the interview notification and required to provide the following  documents during the interview:

i. interview call;

ii. all required documents mentioned in the ; and

iii. a copy of permission letter (interview centre relocation).

2. For PPPT and AKP post, the relocation is also allowed and  candidate should make early information to SPP (if there are no interview  of the same the option in the state chosen, the relocation could not be done).
3. If  I lost one of  the original certificate, what should I do? Candidate is required to retrieve the original certificate or confirmation letter from the issuing party.
4. Are certified copies of the certificates applicable to replace the original certificate for interview? No, Candidate is required to retrieve the original certificate or confirmation letter from the issuing party.

What are of preparation before attending the interview

The important preparations are

1. Every required original document stated in the checklist must be prepared. 
Only original document is accepted. Candidate will not be interviewed upon failure.
2. Candidate’s attire should follow civil servant dress code ethic
3. Self-preparation with general knowledge  and job-relevant knowledge

1. If I succeeded in the interview, when is the letter of appointment be issued? 1. For the successful candidates, appointment letter will be submitted to MOE after the endorsement by SPP. Appointment letter including reporting for duty letter will be forwarded by Head Of Department.
2. If I failed the interview, what should I do next? 1.

For PPP post ,SPP has set a new procedure for every categories of  unsuccessful candidates where:

a) candidates will be inform regarding their result; and

b) allowed to reapply six month after from the result date by SPP through its portal.

The six month given is to enable the candidate to improve their weakness.

For the post of PPPT and AKP, candidates must resubmit the application if they do not pass the interview.

3. How is my appointment date determined? 1. For PPP post, the appointment date is based on posting or reporting date according to which come later.
2. For the post of PPPT and AKP, the date of appointment is based on the date of the report on duty.
4. If I succeeded, when will I be posted? The posting is under the jurisdiction of the head of department candidate may be placed either in school, PPD, JPN polytechnic, community college or any department of MOE.

What is I am pregnant and could not undergo x-ray examination?

For candidates in pregnancy, x-ray examination can be performed after birth. In this regard, the candidate is asked to ensure that the medical officer makes a confirmation in the medical report that the candidate is pregnant. The x-ray inspection report can be submitted after the candidate has safely give birth.

Can the medical examination be made at a private clinic / hospital?

Yes, as long as the medical examination is conducted by a Registered Medical Practitioner.

7. How do I carry out the Security Vetting?   Candidates may download the Security Vetting form at the Chief Government Security Officer Portal and submit the completed form as per the guidelines specified in the form.
8. Should I send the Statutory Declaration to the Commission? Newly appointed officers in the civil service should pledge allegiance when reporting for duty. Statutory Declaration shall be made in duplicate before the head of department; a copy shall be submitted to the SPP together with the letter of acceptance of other offers, while a copy shall be kept by the candidate. The Statutory Declaration shall be recorded in the service statement.
9. How do I determine my starting salary?

The starting salary is determined:

1.

according to academic qualifications as prescribed in the service scheme;

2.

For the candidate who is currently in service and has attained confirmation/permanence in the service, then the starting salary shall be given at the higher and closest salary points where the difference is not less than a basic salary increment or an amount corresponding to the basic salary increment of the previous grade or post, limited to the maximum salary points of the new post as specified in Rule 25 (7) and (8) in the Public Service Officers (Appointment, Promotion and Termination of Services) Regulations 2012

10. Upon appointment, I find the salary offered to be lower than the monthly allowance I received for the position of Trained Substitute Teachers (GST). Monthly allowances received while serving as Trained Substitute Teachers (GST) are not taken into consideration for the purpose of qualifying a higher starting salary. The setting of a higher starting salary which takes into consideration the previous salary amount is only accorded to officers who have attained confirmation/permanence in service. However, the experience of serving as a GST (ie calculated from the date of full qualification) may be taken into account for qualifying a higher starting salary.
11. I find that the salary offered to me is not based on the qualifications / degrees that I have. What should I do?

Kindly submit your appeal to the Commission along with the value levels of the certificates / degrees as determined by the Public Service Department (PSD).

12. Before I was appointed to PPP / PPPT / AKP, I have been in permanent-status service with the government. I find that the salary offered to me is lower than my previous post. What do I need to do?

Kindly lodge an appeal with the Commission and enclose an updated copy of your service statement together with your letter of appeal. 

13. I hold a Master's Degree or a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) degree. Should I be appointed, will I be offered a higher salary? A Master's Degree or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree

1. When will my service appointment be confirmed/made permanent? According to the Malaysian Remuneration System, an officer may be confirmed into the service after undergoing a one to three year trial period and after meet the requirements of the service confirmation as specified in the offer letter (including passing the examination of the service as prescribed by the department head if any and screening safety). 4. What to do if unconfirmed in the service?

The Head of Department for trainees unable to be confirmed in service within the prescribed period must submit an application for an Extension Period (PTP) to SPP within 7 days upon completion of the maximum trial period or 36 months of service (Paragraph 9 SPP Circular No. 3 Year 2013).

5. Who is eligible to receive pensionable status (PTB)? An officer is eligible to be given pensionable status if he / she has not chosen the EPF scheme, has been certified in service and has completed 3 years of service which can be taken into consideration. Generally, the PTB date is set on the first day of the month of the following month after the SPP receives the complete certification from the Head of Department.
6. What documents are required to process (PTB)?

i. PTB Application Form (SPP / K / 003) - (Appendix VI SPP Circular No. 4 of 2013);

ii. PTB Certification Form - Sixth Table (Appendix VII or Appendix VIII SPP Circular No. 4 of 2013); and
